To advance higher education and improve the lives of public service-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans and to accelerate their progress into impactful leadership roles and opportunities.

To provide financial support to students of library and information science who wish to attend the World Library and Information Congress of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).

To students who have strong academic records and are a promising candidate for the Unitarian Universalist ministry.

To assist active duty and reserve Coast Guard personnel with their educational expenses.

To encourage individuals working for print music retailers to further their education and professional development by attending the annual RPMDA convention.

To honor and support deserving students in their educational pursuit.

To enhance the integrated research and clinical training of promising predoctoral students, who are matriculated in a combined MD/PhD or other dual-doctoral degree training program.

To recognize students who show commitment to research that promises to reduce work-related injury, illness and disability in Ontario.

To support a Phi U member pursuing a baccalaureate degree in fashion design and construction, textile design and development, and/or textile preservation.

To encourage research and scholarship in black theatre and to expose the beauty and complexity of the inherited theatre work of our African American ancestors, as well as, preserve and develop Black Theatre’s unique art form.
