To increase the number of Hispanic students completing their higher education goals.

To assist Hispanic students pay for college. In partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation.

To reward clear and concise communication which conveys a message to the target audience.

To help individuals pursue their post-secondary education.

To promote the study of family and consumer sciences.

To support young scholars for a book, film, monograph or service which interprets anthropological data and principles in ways that make them meaningful to a broadly concerned public.

To provide financial support to those students who are pursuing their educational goal.

To provide funds for the education of Hispanic descent graduating students from City high schools who are preparing for a career in a health-related field.

To provide services and educational programs for those individuals and organizations engaged in theatre in the southeast.

The winner will appear as a guest soloist with the U.S. Marine Band and receive a $2,500 cash prize from the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. The runner up will receive a $500 cash prize.
