There is currently no reciprocity agreement between Texas and other states. If you’re licensed in another jurisdiction and are seeking licensure in Texas, you have to apply for that particular credential. To be approved, you must meet all of Texas’ requirements for first-time candidates. Because the Jurisprudence exam is specific to Texas, all out-of-state candidates are required to pass it before being granted a license. Have the ASWB send your scores to the Board and submit your transcripts along with the application for the license you’re applying to.
Once you meet the requirements and pay the appropriate application fee and the cost of the background check, you’ll be notified of your licensure after a few weeks.
