Licensing Renewal and Continuing Education
Renewals take place every two years, and the cost is $70. A reminder will be sent to you in the mail 60 days before it’s due. Each licensure level must put in 30 hours of continuing education (CE) during the renewal period. Three hours must be dedicated to cross-cultural topics, and another three to professional ethics. As an LICSW, you can earn a maximum of six hours through BSW or MSW supervision. A minimum of 22 hours have to be completed in-person, so you will have to attend a class or workshop. Only eight hours are allowed to be completed through an online program or another kind of distance learning.
