Updated: April 19th, 2022

Licenses must be renewed every two years for Indiana’s social workers. Twenty hours of continuing education (CE) must be completed each year, totaling 40 hours for each renewal period. A minimum of 10 hours must be spent in workshops, seminars, and formal courses. Another 10 hours are self-directed learning activities, including journal reading and case conferences. One CE credit must be spent on ethics and professional topics. CE opportunities can be found on The National Association of Social Workers (NASW): Indiana Chapter website.
