To promote dependability, community service, leadership, religious awareness, and patriotism among high school seniors in Vermont.
Applicant must be a Vermont resident and a current high school senior; must be seeking an undergraduate degree in the social sciences, such as anthropology, criminology, economics, geography, history, international relations, philosophy, political science, psychology, social work, sociology, or urban studies; must be enrolled full-time at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding; must demonstrate financial need and academic achievement.
Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, recommendation letter, and essay.
