To encourage Windham County residents to pursue post-secondary education and to contribute fully to freedom, peace, and social understanding.
Applicant must reside in Windham County or the towns of Readsboro or Searsburg in Bennington County, VT; must be seeking a certificate or undergraduate degree; must demonstrate financial need and school/community involvement.
Selection is based on financial need, essay, and recommendation letter. Preference is given to residents of the Deerfield Valley Towns of Dover, Halifax, Readsboro, Searsburg, Whitingham, and Wilmington who are first-generation college-bound and/or nontraditional students.
