To help students who have been in foster care in Hawaii pursue college degrees.
Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii who is attending an accredited two- or four-year not for profit institution in the United States as an undergraduate or graduate student; must have been permanently or temporarily separated from birth parent(s) due to being placed under the State of Hawaii foster care, including those who aged out of the State of Hawaii foster care system; must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.
Preference given for the following: residents of the island of Kaua’i; students majoring in education, healthcare, or social work; those intending to have a career in Hawaii; renewal applicants.
