To raise awareness of, and begin to meet the need for, more cultural and linguistic diversity in the state’s mental health workforce.
Applicants must be accepted as new students by a Texas graduate social work program that is accredited or in candidacy for accreditation by the National Council on Social Work Education; must be fluent in English and a second language chosen by the school, typically Spanish; must commit to work in Texas after graduation providing mental health services for a period equal to the timeframe of the scholarship; must meet any additional selection criteria required by the program of their choice.
Selection will be based on the committee’s criteria.
