To provide financial assistance to non-traditional Maine students pursuing postsecondary education or training.
Applicants must meet one or more of the following requirements: be over the ager of 25; work full time (35 hours/week or more) while enrolled; have dependents other than a spouse; be financially independent from parents and/or considered independent for FAFSA purposes; have not received a standard high school diploma (completed with a GED, HiSET, or certificate of completion); or have delayed enrollment in college after high school for a reason other than a gap-year activity. May be enrolled part-time or full-time.
Preference for residents of Hancock County, and statewide who have financial need.
