Scholarship Mission

To increase the pool of opportunities for qualified minority and female candidates in intercollegiate athletics.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must be seeking admission or have been accepted into a sports administration or sports-related program that will assist in obtaining a career in intercollegiate athletics (athletics administrator, coach, athletic trainer or other careers that provide a direct service to intercollegiate athletics); must have not yet begun any initial postgraduate studies; must be U.S. citizens; and have performed with distinction as student body members at their respective undergraduate institution.

How Winners are Selected

Selection is made by a subcommittee from the NCAA Committee on Women’s Athletics which will select 13 award recipients, and a subcommittee from the NCAA Minorities Opportunities and Interests Committee will select 13 award recipients.
