To encourage graduating high school students to pursue their education.
Applicants must be Parkersburg South High School graduating seniors who have a 3.0 GPA and are planning to pursue a major in secondary education; to be eligible for a scholarship from the PACF, a student generally has to reside in one of the counties in the Foundation’s service area: Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Jackson, Mason, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt, and Wood Counties in West Virginia and Washington County, Ohio.
Selection will be based on financial need, personal statement and academic achievement. Consideration will be given to applicants majoring in math and science secondary education.
