To recognize and support scholastic achievement, and encourage career development in horticultural science at the undergraduate level.
Applicants must be undergraduate students of any class standing at the time of the application; registered as full-time students (minimum 10 credit hours) actively pursuing a degree in horticulture.
Recipients are chosen based on excellence in academic and scholastic performance in the major (an area of horticulture) and supporting areas of science; participation in extracurricular, leadership and research activities relating to horticulture; participation in university and community service; demonstrated commitment to the horticulture science profession and related career fields; and related horticultural experiences.
