Purpose for the scholarship To support the education of students of color entering a graduate degree program.
Requirements to qualify? Applicants must have applied and been accepted to a Master’s AUPHA full-member program (but not yet enrolled); must be full-time student; must be student of color (African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian American, Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Latino/Hispanic, Multiracial); must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0) in undergraduate coursework; and must be U.S. citizens.
Selection criteria among applicants Selection is based on the applicant’s leadership qualities; academic achievements; community involvement; commitment to healthcare; and financial need (may be considered when all other factors are equal).
