Purpose for the scholarship
To support a single parent pursuing a STEM degree at the University of New Mexico.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be New Mexico resident attending University of New Mexico (all branch campuses included); must be studying within the fields of science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), medical, accounting and/or other similar career-related field of study; must be a single parent, actively parenting and must demonstrate financial need; must demonstrate a passion for learning and pursuing a life dream, professionally or educationally, despite life challenges.

Selection criteria among applicants
Preference will be given to applicants with some community service in the form of volunteerism and show a commitment to pursuing a secondary education.
