Purpose for the scholarship
To provide assistance to Albuquerque metro area high school graduating seniors who are pursuing postsecondary education, especially those going into child development and/or teaching.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be a graduating senior from an Albuquerque metro area high school (includes Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia, and Torrance Counties) who demonstrates strong community service experience and strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 GPA); must be planning to attend a nonprofit or public two- or four-year educational institution.

Selection criteria among applicants
Preference will be given to those who are planning a career in early childhood development and/or teaching and those who participate in Key Club activities.
