Purpose for the scholarship To Promote Diversity and Excellence in Union Leadership and Labor Studies
Requirements to qualify? Those applying for the graduate scholarship must be first-time, entering students in the School of Labor and Urban Studies MA in Labor Studies program. Graduate applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA from prior undergraduate work. Those applying for the undergraduate scholarship may be either first-time or continuing students already<br /> enrolled in the CUNY SLU BA in Labor Studies. Undergraduate applicants must have completed 60<br /> college credits with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Selection criteria among applicants Demonstrated potential for leadership in social<br /> justice movements and/or capacity for academic scholarship in the field of Labor Studies. Demonstrated commitment to, or potential for, work that will increase the participation of underrepresented constituencies in the labor movement and/or in the field of Labor Studies.
