Purpose for the scholarship To provide college students working towards a degree in construction or construction-related engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) at colleges or universities.
Requirements to qualify? Applicants must be New York State Residents but can be attending a school outside of New York; applicants must be entering the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of a two- or four-year college; applicants must be seriously intent upon a career in the building, highway or utility construction industry; applicant must pursue a Bachelor or Associate degree in construction or construction-related engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) and have at least a 2.50 G.P.A; students must reapply each year up to three years of undergraduate study; graduate students are also eligible for a one-year scholarship.
Selection criteria among applicants Applicants will be evaluated by the Selection Committee of the New York State Chapter Inc., Associated General Contractors.
