Purpose for the scholarship
To provide financial assistance to students who would otherwise be unable to take qualifying entrance exams, and attend academic programs thst offer special challenges or accelerated content.

Requirements to qualify?
Must be intellectually gifted students in grades 6-12 who reside in Rutherford, Cannon, DeKalb, or Wilson Counties in Tennessee; must demonstrate financial need.

Selection criteria among applicants
Based on academic records, test scores, extracurricular activities, work experience, community involvement, recommendations about leadership and character, merit, financial need.
