Purpose for the scholarship
To encourage female high school seniors to pursue science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) studies at the community college or university level.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be high school senior girls; currently enrolled in a high school in the Dallas-Fort Worth region; have a demonstrated financial need; working to contribute to family budget or participating in extracurricular activities; are among the first of their family members to attend college; considering a career in a transportation-related field; have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.

Selection criteria among applicants
Applicant’s financial need, specific education goals, academic record, and activities or job skills.
