Purpose for the scholarship To support blind students in the United States who are pursuing postsecondary education.
Requirements to qualify? Applicant must be blind in both eyes; must be a resident of and attend school in one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico; must intend to remain in the U.S. after graduation; must be enrolled in a full-time degree program at an accredited college or university during the fall semester; must be residents of or be attending college in Washington, Idaho, or Oregon; must be able to attend the entire national convention of the National Federation of the Blind; must be 18 years of age by July 1 of the scholarship year.
