Purpose for the scholarship
To enable low to moderate-income students who have a record of academic achievement and personal growth, along with leadership potential for both professional careers and civic contributions, to attend a college program.

Requirements to qualify?
Must participate in Rotary Club or Rotary Interact Club; be a junior in high school in San Diego, CA; seeking an associate or bachelor’s degree as a full-time student; be a U.S. citizen; participate in extracurricular activities, community service, or work; demonstrate financial need; possess exemplary citizenship and attendance records. Must have minium cumulative GPA of 2.5.

Selection criteria among applicants
Preference will be given to students involved in a Rotary Club partnership at Hoover, Monarch, or San Diego high schools.
