Purpose for the scholarship
Through the Drew King Legacy Scholarship, we hopeto keep Drews spirit alive by encouraging and assisting those who continue thework of pursuing social activism, community service and creating positivechange. While we certainly want to receive applications from those working withissues and causes Drew specifically supported, we are open to other requeststhat epitomize Drews passion for supporting those who are most in need.

Requirements to qualify?
-Be a currently enrolled student or accepted into a college inNorthern California, Central Florida or Northeast Florida (proof ofacceptance/attendance must be submitted with the application).<br /> AND/OR<br /> -Be a resident of Northern California, Central Florida or NortheastFlorida attending college elsewhere (proof of residency must be submitted withthe application).<br /> AND<br /> -Have been involved for at least oneyear in social activism, community service and/or creating positive change in away true to Drews spirit. Please read Drews Legacy fund page for moreinformation.<br /> AND<br /> -Be planning a career in socialactivism, community service and/or creating positive change.

Selection criteria among applicants
-Demonstrate an understanding of Drew Kings life and spirit in the essayquestion.<br /> -Time and depth of involvement with social activism, community serviceand/or creating positive change.<br /> -Plans for career in social activism,community service and/or creating positive change (this information will beconsidered in decision, however applicants that have not settled on a careerare also encouraged to apply).<br /> &#8211; General Notes: While wecertainly want to receive applications from those working with issues andcauses Drew specifically supported, we are open to other requests thatepitomize Drews passion for supporting those most in need. -Be a currently enrolled student or accepted into a college in NorthernCalifornia, Central Florida or Northeast Florida (proof ofacceptance/attendance must be submitted with the application).
