Purpose for the scholarship
To support students from the island of Hawaii who are pursing degrees in STEM fields.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii County, Hawaii; must be attending an accredited two- or four-year not for profit institution in the United States as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student; must be studying in a STEM related field; must have a minimum 2.7 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Selection criteria among applicants
Preference will be given to applicants who are actively pursuing an associate degree, undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or certificate for the purpose of working in a STEM occupation on the island of Hawaii. Preference is also given to renewal applicants who continue to meet the criteria.
