Purpose for the scholarship
To support the post-secondary education goals of children and grandchildren of Island Holding companies’ employees.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii and be a child or grandchild of an active-status employee of a company within the Island Holdings Inc. family of companies (employee must have at least one year of active full-time employment); must be enrolled, or planning to enroll, as a full-time degree candidate at a college that qualifies as a public charity under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c)(3); must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Selection criteria among applicants
Preference given for the following: demonstrated leadership and/or community service, applicants pursuing undergraduate degrees, and renewal applicants.
