Purpose for the scholarship
To provide scholarships students seeking a higher education.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be full- or part-time, undergraduate, degree-seeking students attending an accredited, two- or four-year, not-for-profit institution within the United States (including U.S. territories); must be an active employee of CPB and/or subsidiary or affiliated company with a minimum of one year of service, or be the dependent child or grandchild of the same.

Selection criteria among applicants
Preference are as follows, in order of priority: recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year, if recipients continue to meet the eligibility requirements and are in good academic standing; for new awardees, high school seniors, undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors (in that order); demonstrated financial need; cumulative 2.7 GPA or higher.
