Purpose for the scholarship
To support students pursuing degrees in medical, educational, or social work related fields with the intent to work with individuals in a vulnerable population.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii; must be an undergraduate junior or senior or graduate student attending an accredited two- or four-year not for profit institution in the United States; must be majoring in a medical, educational, or social work related field; must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Selection criteria among applicants
Preference will be given in the following order: 1. graduate of Maryknoll High School; 2. first generation or formerly placed in the foster care system in Hawaii.
