Purpose for the scholarship
To support local residents pursing degrees in the ministry or health care.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be a resident of Wood, Wirt, Jackson, Ritchie, Pleasants, Doddridge, Calhoun, Gilmer, Roane, or Mason counties in WV or Washington County in OH; may be a graduating high school senior, presently enrolled post-secondary student, or an adult student who has returned or is planning to return to postsecondary education; must be studying ministry or Christian mission/Christian education or a health care field such as nursing or medicine.

Selection criteria among applicants
Selection is based on good moral character and service. Preference is given to those pursing a degree in the ministry. Financial need may be considered in the case of a tie.
