Purpose for the scholarship
To support dependents of Star Plastics/SDR Inc. and local residents who are pursuing postsecondary education.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be dependents of the Star Plastics and SDR, Inc., companies, OR must have graduated (or be graduating) from a high school with at least a 2.0 GPA and be residents of Ravenswood, WV, who are committed to the betterment of the Ravenswood area; must be admitted to a post-high school educational institution, such as a college, university, technical/trade/vocational/business school.

Selection criteria among applicants
Selection is based on financial need, academic performance and promise, leadership, community service, and involvement.
