Purpose for the scholarship
To provide financial assistance to students pursuing a career in teaching.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be graduating high school seniors, or individuals who previously graduated from the Davidson County-Metropolitan Nashville Public School System; must have a desire to pursue a career in teaching in elementary, middle or high school.

Selection criteria among applicants
Recipients are selected based on academic records, test scores, extracurricular activities, work experience, community involvement, recommendations about leadership and character, merit, financial need.
