Purpose for the scholarship The Alan David Lyke Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Alan David Lyke by supporting students who demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, community involvement, and resilience in overcoming personal hardships. This scholarship aims to empower deserving students to pursue higher education and achieve their career aspirations.

Be currently enrolled or accepted into a 4-year college or university.<br /> *<br /> 3. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.<br /> *<br /> 4. Must demonstrate resilience through personal hardship, showcasing the ability to overcome challenges and persist in the pursuit of education.<br /> *<br /> 5. Must have applied for FAFSA and demonstrate financial hardship.<br /> *<br /> 6. Must have a proven record of community service or extracurricular activities
Selection criteria among applicants 1.<br /> GPA (3.0 or higher): 10 points<br /> 2.<br /> FAFSA EFC (0-5000): 20 points<br /> 3.<br /> Personal Statement (Demonstration of resilience): 35 points<br /> 4.<br /> Personal Statement (Structure): 20 points<br /> 5.<br /> Extracurricular Involvement and Community Service: 15 points
