Purpose for the scholarship
To support undergraduate and graduate students who intend to bring their expertise back to serve the Hawaiian community.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students; must be U.S. residents enrolled at an accredited institution in the United States; must demonstrate financial need and community service; must participate in athletics; must demonstrate a desire to bring their expertise back to Hawaii to benefit the community.

Selection criteria among applicants
Preference given to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
