Purpose for the scholarship For active or retired military service members and their families. Digital Workshop Center (DWC) is committed to helping communities across the U.S. by providing a scholarship for tech skills certificate programs for Veterans looking to enter high demand, high growth careers. The goal of this scholarship is to create better economic opportunities for Veterans looking to make a career change, or those seeking to up-skill within various career fields.
Requirements to qualify? – Applicants must have proof of U.S. military service. Active and<br /> retired service members eligible.<br /> – Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.<br /> – Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent citizen.<br /> – Scholarship award may only be applied towards a certification<br /> credential. Combining award with other funding sources is allowed.<br /> – Applicants must be searching for employment in a high-demand,<br /> high-growth field.<br /> – Applicants must be able to clearly explain a significant financial<br /> need due to recent employment status change.
Selection criteria among applicants Scholarship awards will be<br /> determined by Digital Workshop Center staff based on a case by case<br /> examination of financial situation, career goals, and more. Recipient has 60 days after the award acceptance date to register<br /> for their first class or all award funds may be withdrawn.
