Purpose for the scholarship
To support minorities and female students studying in related fields or the exact fields: ocean and/or coastal: engineering, social science, marine education, marine stewardship, and resource management disciplines.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be minorities and female students pursuing graduate degrees in oceanography, marine biology, maritime archaeology, and related fields; must be United States citizens, permanent residents, or citizens of a U.S. territory that are attending U.S. accredited institutions.

Selection criteria among applicants
Selection is based on academic excellence, letters of recommendations, research and career goals, and financial need.
