Purpose for the scholarship
To encourage graduating high school students to pursue higher education, especially in the field of nursing.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be residents of Wood, Ritchie, Wirt, Calhoun, Jackson, Gilmer, Roane, Pleasants, or Doddridge in WV, or Washington County, OH. Applicants must also be planning to attend an accredited college/nursing school to become registered nurses; have a financial need and a minimum of 2.0 GPA; and, be willing to make a written pledge attesting to their intention to return to the area covered by the service region of the Foundation to practice for at least two years.

Selection criteria among applicants
Recipients will be selected based on financial need and other scholarship selection criteria.
