Purpose for the scholarship
To improve and enhance the quality of life in the Tri-Cities area by serving as a leader, catalyst and resource for philanthropy; to strive for community improvement through strategic grantmaking in such fields as arts, education, health, environment, youth, social services and other human needs.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be graduating seniors of Grand Haven or Spring Lake high school who plan to pursue an education in the areas of environment or social services; academic grade point excellence is not required.

Selection criteria among applicants
Recipients are selected based on financial need; academic achievement; leadership ability; community and volunteer service; creativity; and special circumstances.
