Purpose for the scholarship To support the education of students from California.
Requirements to qualify? Applicant must be Reside in Escondido, CA or Valley Center, CA at the time of their application; Be graduating seniors or graduates of a high school in Escondido, CA or Valley Center, CA that have attended such high school for 4 years, or graduating seniors from a community college in that have lived in Escondido or Valley Center for the 4-year period prior to graduation; Plan to enroll full-time (12 units minimum) at an accredited two-year junior or community college in California, or an accredited four-year college or university in California, in all cases pursuing a bachelor’s degree; Have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale; Demonstrate the potential to achieve a successful academic experience leading to a bachelor’s degree at the college the applicant is planning to attend, e.g. having SAT and/or ACT scores that demonstrate an ability to complete the course work necessary to earn a bachelor’s degree at such college. SAT and ACT scores are considered in light of the college the applicant is planning to attend; Have a demonstrated financial need; Be United States citizens or permanent legal residents.
