Purpose for the scholarship To support residents of Vermont’s Upper Valley who are pursuing undergraduate degrees.
Requirements to qualify? Applicant must be a resident of one of the following Vermont towns: Baltimore, Barnard, Bethel, Bradford, Bridgewater, Cavendish, Chelsea, Corinth, East Ryegate, Fairlee, Groton, Hartford, Hartland, Newbury, Norwich, Pomfret, Randolph, Reading, Royalton, Ryegate, Sharon, South Ryegate, Springfield, Strafford, Thetford, Topsham, Tunbridge, Vershire, Weathersfield, West Fairlee, West Windsor, Windsor, or Woodstock. Applicant must be seeking an undergraduate degree at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding; must demonstrate financial need and community involvement/service.
Selection criteria among applicants Selection is based on financial need, recommendation letter, and essay. Preference is given to applicants who are among the first generation in their families to attend college.
