Purpose for the scholarship
To support a student from NROC who is pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in the arts.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must have lived at Northgate Apartments in Burlington, VT, for at least six months before applying (if under 18, must live at Northgate at least 51 percent of the time); must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in the arts at an accredited college approved for federal Title IV funding; must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale; must have financial need (must meet 185 percent of the poverty level); must demonstrate school or community involvement/service and a good education/work ethic.

Selection criteria among applicants
Selection is based on recommendation letter, academic achievement, financial need, and portfolio.
