Purpose for the scholarship https://www.sctcc.edu/scholarship-list Each scholarship on the above list helps SCTCC students afford their education in specific career areas or in general education.<br /> 1. ACCESS STEM Scholarship: Interested in a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)? With the STEM ACCESS Scholarship, you could be eligible to receive a scholarship for $7,500 per year at SCTCC and $9,000 per year at St. Cloud State University! That’s a total of $33,000 toward getting your bachelor’s degree! Eligible programs are Biology AS Degree, Engineering AAS, Math, and Computer Programming AAS.<br /> 2. Workforce Development Scholarship: Minnesota State and SCTCC are awarding $2,500 scholarships to new students in select programs.<br /> 3. Random Acts of Kindness Grant: The Random Acts of Kindness Grant is a program to assist students undergoing extreme financial difficulties so that they may continue their education at St. Cloud Technical and Community College (SCTCC). Please see the back of this form for directions. Please submit request and appropriate documentation to the Financial Services Office.
Requirements to qualify? Anyone with a Minnesota StarID or Student Tech ID.
Selection criteria among applicants Successful applicants have answered the following questions:<br /> 1. Program or Field of Study (Required)<br /> Why did you choose your field of study? Did anyone motivate or influence your choice? What are your long-range education and employment goals? (150 words or less)<br /> 2. Life Experiences that have Influenced Personal Growth (Required)<br /> Please share any significant events in your life that have influenced your personal growth and professional goals. This can include or obstacles you have faced on your path to further education. Also, include your plans for paying for education, financial challenges, and how a financial scholarship will benefit you. (150 words or less)<br /> 3. School, Family, Employment and Community Activities/Awards (Required) Please describe any duties and responsibilities you have and how they relate to your program of study. Areas to consider may include school, family, job, or community service. Describe any leadership roles you have played and awards you received. (150 words or less)<br /> 4. Other relevant factors or comments (Required)<br /> Describe any other factors that you consider relevant to your application. This is your opportunity to explain why you are deserving of a SCTCC Foundation Award. (250 words or less)
