Purpose for the scholarship
To provide financial assistance to students pursuing a specific field of study and who are most in need.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be children of employees of the Tennessee Highway Patrol who serve in uniform, undercover, or plainclothes; must be rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors in college who demonstrate a commitment to a career in criminal justice through their course of study.

Selection criteria among applicants
Recipients are selected based on academic records, test scores, extracurricular activities, work experience, community involvement, recommendations about leadership and character, merit, financial need.
