Purpose for the scholarship
To provide financial assistance to creatively talented, culturally diverse students seeking an education in copywriting, art direction and design at designated colleges and portfolio schools.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be an African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian-American, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific, or Hispanic student; must be a sophomore or junior in an undergraduate institution, or a first-year student enrolled in a portfolio school; must be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the United States as of the date the application is submitted; must be a full-time student from a preferred advertising-portfolio school; must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in advertising, design, or a related field who is able to provide a creative portfolio for review as an art director, copywriter, or designer.

Selection criteria among applicants
Recipients are selected by DDB Chief Creative Officers, Creative Directors, Talent Managers, and Creative Service Managers across the U.S.
