Levels of education pursued qualifying for scholarship
Purpose for the scholarship To provide financial support for the surviving family members of employees who died from an on-the-job accident, and/or whose injuries qualify for lifetime income benefits, to have the chance to pursue education and training to help them build better futures.
Requirements to qualify? Applicants must be one of the following: injured employees of Texas Mutual policyholders whose injuries qualify them for lifetime benefits; or, the children or spouses of a person who was employed by a Texas Mutual policyholder and died as a result of compensable work-related accident or had injuries that qualify them for lifetime benefits (children must be unmarried and between the ages of 16-25); must be a full-time students with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
