Purpose for the scholarship
Volunteer service is at the heart of the DAV mission of helping empower more veterans to lead high-quality and fulfilling lives. From volunteering at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers to assisting veterans in their local communities, DAV volunteers make a real difference in the lives of veterans.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be any volunteers who are at the age of 21 or younger, and have volunteered for a minimum of 100 hours through DAV or DAV Auxiliary. Volunteer hours can be accumulated at a VA medical center, and/or the Local Veterans Assistance Program (LVAP). Hours must be credited to Disabled American Veterans.

Selection criteria among applicants
Applicants will be evaluated based on criteria designed by the Scholarship Selection Committee.
