Purpose for the scholarship Attorney Bacalis often provides legal services to single parents, and he has come to appreciate the hard work and sacrifice that goes into raising children on your own. Starting in Fall 2022, Daniel R. Bacalis, P.C. is offering a scholarship of $1,000 each semester to a single parent who is returning to school to pursue a college degree. We hope that the Striving Solo Parent Scholarship allows single parents easier access to higher education.
Requirements to qualify? To be eligible for our award, you must be a single parent, and you must also meet the following criteria: You will be enrolled in an accredited university or college within the United States for the Fall 2022 semester. You are a permanent resident or citizen of the United States. You achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in your most recently completed academic semester.
Selection criteria among applicants Each application will be evaluated using the following criteria: Applicant provided all necessary materials; Applicant’s essay is written professionally and thoughtfully; Applicant’s essay demonstrates creativity and originality.
