Purpose for the scholarship To serve the economic and social needs of Alaska Natives enrolled in Seldovia Native Association by offering educational opportunities.
Requirements to qualify? Applicants must be Alaska Natives who are enrolled Seldovia Native Association, Inc. shareholders (Pursuant to the 1971 Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act) and their lineal descendants (children, grandchildren, etc.; natural or adopted) and spouses; must be enrolled at an accredited college or university or accepted for admittance to a post secondary program for a two-year or four-year undergraduate degree or graduate degree program; must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Selection criteria among applicants Recipients will be evaluated based on the following categories; scholastic achievement; previous work performance, education and community involvement; financial need; recommendations and demonstrated potential to succeed in a chosen career; seriousness of purpose; major field of study; and practicality of education, professional goals and completeness of the application.
