To encourage the graduating seniors of Parkersburg High School to pursue careers in teaching.
Students has to reside in one of the counties in the Foundation’s service area: Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Jackson, Mason, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt, and Wood Counties in West Virginia and Washington County, Ohio.
Selection based on academic achievement or potential (2.5 minimum GPA), involvement in extra-curricular and/or community service activities, and financial need; preference to students who have displayed interest in foreign language during high school.
