To support the children or grandchildren of sea services personnel as they pursue higher education.
Applicant must be the child or grandchild of a member of the sea services, to include the United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, United States Coast Guard, and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine; must be a high school student enrolled or enrolling in any curriculum at an accredited institution of higher education.
Preference is given to descendants of members of the USS Mahan.
