To encourage graduating seniors to pursue their degrees in any field specializing in services for individuals with disabilities.
Applicants must be residents of Wood, Pleasants, Ritchie, Wirt, Gilmer, Calhoun, Jackson, Roane, or Tyler Counties, WV, or Washington County, OH. Applicants must also be graduating high school seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA who are admitted to attend college, or currently enrolled college students, pursuing associate or bachelor level degrees in any field specializing in services for individuals with disabilities.
Preference will be given to applicants who show willingness to volunteer/participate or have previously volunteered/participated in one of Wood County Society’s programs within, or the following year after, the scholarship is received.
