To assist Hawaiian students in pursuing undergraduate degrees.
Applicants must be residents of Hawaii with a substantial connection to Hawaii; must be full time students at an accredited, two- or four-year institution; must have good academic standing and a minimum 2.0 GPA; must demonstrate good character, including community service, leadership, and civic involvement.
Preference will be given to previous recipients who were awarded the immediate prior year if they continue to meet eligibility requirements. Preference will also be given to applicants majoring in education, environmental studies, healthcare related fields, or music; candidates with higher academic standing, including a 3.0 or higher GPA; and those with a class standing of undergraduate college sophomore or above.
